Unlike standard tallying tools that lose data between sessions, this counter maintains separate current-count and total-count registers simultaneously. The architecture prioritizes tap responsiveness with optimized increment and decrement cycles that execute within milliseconds.
The session-save mechanism writes each counting session to local storage with timestamp metadata in DD MMM YYYY and HH:MM format. This creates an immutable history log accessible through the dedicated History tab. Each saved session becomes a discrete data point showing count value, date stamp, and exact time, enabling retrospective analysis of counting patterns across days or weeks.
Feedback systems layer multiple sensory confirmations: visual button state changes, optional sound effects through the audio engine, and vibration pulses via haptic API calls. The settings panel provides binary toggles for music, sound effects, and vibration, allowing users to configure feedback preferences based on environment.
